When Should You See a Urologist?
2 min read
Blood in the urine, recurring urinary tract infections, persistent flank or lower abdominal pain, and difficulty or pain while urinating are all good reasons to see a urologist rather than waiting for symptoms to resolve on their own.
For men, symptoms like a weak urine stream, frequent nighttime urination, or concerns about fertility and sexual health are also common and valid reasons for a visit — these are medical concerns, not something to be embarrassed about.
You generally do not need a referral to see a urologist directly — if something feels off, it's reasonable to book a consultation rather than waiting for it to get worse.
Book a consultation with Dr. Karthik Hareen TVK.
