Kidney & Bladder Cancer: Early Warning Signs to Know
3 min read
Blood in the urine — even a single episode, even if it clears up on its own — is the single most important warning sign of kidney or bladder cancer and should never be ignored, particularly in smokers or those over 50.
Other symptoms can include a persistent dull ache in the flank, unexplained weight loss, or a change in urinary habits that doesn't resolve with simple treatment. These symptoms are often caused by less serious conditions, but only a proper evaluation can rule out cancer.
When detected early, many kidney and bladder cancers can be treated surgically with minimally invasive, 3D laparoscopic techniques that preserve as much healthy tissue as possible and support a quicker recovery.
If you notice blood in your urine, don't wait for it to happen again before getting checked.
